We have been using this umbrella for almost a year. The size is great. We have an open deck that gets brutalized in the Colorado summer sun, so this covers most of the area so that we can continue to use the space without dying in the heat/sun.

At 10x13, it is wide and long enough to cover my grill area and all my guests underneath the shade. You will need 2 people to hoist this umbrella and connect it with the base. Although I probably spent close to $1200 for the umbrella and base, as long as the umbrella holds up, it will be well worth it. I recommend this umbrella to anyone looking for a large cantilever umbrella.

We're so happy with our purchase that we're already considering getting a second one for the other side of our patio. This umbrella is huge. I bought it to provide shade for my outdoor daybed. My husband and I assembled it together. We also purchased the umbrella base and filled it with sand. They work great. Despite the windy conditions where we live, the umbrella remains sturdy and stable without any wobbling.
